At-home respite care is when a professional caregiver offers temporary help so that the primary caregiver can have a break from caregiving.

At-home respite care provides relief for caregivers, allowing time off from their caregiving duties while the person they care for receives care in their own home, allowing them to remain in a familiar and comfortable environment.

This can be occasional or scheduled care for the person needing supervision and companionship while the primary caregiver attends to other things, either in the home or elsewhere.

Professional in-home respite care providers can tailor their services and hours to the individual’s specific needs, offering a level of personalized attention that might not be achievable in a respite facility.  One such service is Sagesse Respite Services in Madison, Wisconsin.
